The road to sustainability met Group-GTS

How do you reconcile road transport with an ecological vision and future?

As a specialist in transport and logistics, Group-GTS is more than aware of the impact of its activities on the climate. Under the leadership of the sustainability team, a well-thought-out vision on ecology in transport and logistics was therefore devised at Group-GTS. But communicating that vision to the outside world? That turned out to be a different matter altogether.

KDV – Language & More to the rescue! Together, we created a landing page entirely dedicated to sustainability. Do take a look for yourself and see how website visitors are guided through Group-GTS’s sustainability roadmap, which explains their action plan and targets for CO2 neutrality. And that’s not all: using concrete examples, the transport specialist also demonstrates how these ambitions are being put into practice.

Tom Pauchet, Multimodal & Sustainability Manager at Group-GTS, explains why they are focusing on their sustainability communication.

Why did you create a sustainability page?

“As a logistics company, we received many questions from customers about our CO2 emissions. That is why we decided to set up a separate business unit dedicated to sustainability to deal with all these questions. And when a company is so committed to getting this right, you naturally want customers to be able to find this information easily. That is how our sustainability page came about.”

How do you view the new CSRD guidelines?

“We certainly see this as a positive step forward. Group-GTS is fully committed to sustainability strategies. Under the CSRD guidelines, all companies that meet certain criteria will soon be required to report on this transparently. For us, this offers an excellent opportunity to highlight our strengths in a report. In addition, companies will have to structure all sustainability information in a specific way, making it easier for customers and stakeholders to find this information.”

What top tip would you give to companies looking to launch a sustainability page?

“Ensure all information is easily accessible, but at the same time avoid an overload of data. It’s also important to remember that, as a company, you don’t become sustainable overnight. It’s a process in which you might occasionally take a wrong step. As long as you rectify that and include it in your narrative, your company is contributing to a sustainable future.”
